1/9/03 WCARC BOARD MEETING

The meeting convened at 1910h at Starvin’ Arvins restaurant in Fruita.

Attendees: Al Acker, Bill Eads, June and Bob Nickels, Jim Lucas, Larry Ball.

Al reported that the December SKYWARN activity at the Weather Service made 508 contacts which was 6^th in the country. The full report is available at: hamradio.noaa.gov.

June presented an informal Treasurer’s report. About 2/3 of last year’s members have not yet paid dues for 2003.

Bob discussed a possible Technician School to start about mid February. Larry may assist in teaching. We would like to hear from people interested in taking the course. Call one of the Board members as listed on the web page.
