The board of WCARC was called to order by the president Al Acker. Those in attendance were, Al Acker, Bill Eads, June Nickels and Eldon Vore as board members and three guests, Bob Vogel, Bob Nickels and Kendall Kreiling. We met in Fruita at Starvin Arvin’s.

The first item of business was to appoint a trustee to fill a vacancy left by the death of Jim Lucas. The board ask Kendall if he would fill the position and he said yes.

The club has a chance to buy a 50 ft. tower to replace the old one on Black Ridge for the 146.94 repeater. A motion by Bill Eads, seconded by Bob Nickels we proceed to purchase it and put it up. We will have to put in a new cement pad and if you would like to have your call written in the cement you may do so for $10.00 per call.

Their will be a field day this year June 28 and 29 at the camp ground at the top of Divide Road. If you have questions call Al Acker or Bill Eads.

Remember the special event at the Vietnam Memorial Park in Fruita on July 3,4,5 and 6. If you would like to operate some of the time call or email Bob Vogel, WØRY.
